　　Good morning, my dear professors. It's my pleasure to be given a chance for your interview. My name is XXX，I am XXX years old. I come from XXX, a very beautiful city. My undergraduate period will be accomplished in XXX university in July, 2009, and now, I am striving for obtaining a key to your prestigious universuty.

　　In the past two years I have been prepareing for the postgraduate examination for it has been my dream to be a postgraduate. I am open-minded ,quick in thought and very fond of XXX .In my spare time,I have broad interests like many other youngsters and I will try my best to finish it no matter how difficult it is..I like reading books, especially those about XXX.Frequently I exchange with other people by making comments in the forum on line.In addition, I am a person with great perseverance. During my college years, I found web sign very interesting, so I learned it very hard. Therefore, I have a comparative good command of network application and I am skillful in searching for information on Internet. Well, in my spare time, I like basketball, tennis and Chinese chess. Also English is my favorite. I often go to English corner to practice my oral English, and write compositions to improve my written ability.

　　GCT英語面試自我介紹注意事項

　　自我介紹時間以2-3分鐘為宜。思路要清楚，要突出重點，口語盡量流利，但也不要表現(xiàn)出死記硬背的感覺。

　　1)考官要求你作自我介紹時，不要用…let me introduce myself briefly / please allow me to introduce myself to you等句子，重復(fù)、啰嗦。開頭可以只用一句話引入：Dear professors, I feel so glad to meet all of you here。然后就可以進入主題，介紹姓名、年齡等等。

　　2)自我介紹的主體內(nèi)容

　�、傩彰�。介紹自己姓名時，發(fā)音一定要準(zhǔn)。

　�、谀挲g。年齡可以跟在姓名后帶過(I am XXX, XX years old)。

　�、墼瓉淼脑盒！�專業(yè)。注意：一定要把原來學(xué)校的英文名稱、專業(yè)的英文名稱弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨專業(yè)的學(xué)生)。

　　所屬的公司、職位。注意：在職考生則應(yīng)將自己公司、自己職位/職稱的英文名稱弄明白。

　�、苄愿瘛⒛芰��？梢灾�重強調(diào)你的個性對你報考的專業(yè)有何積極的作用。如果報考的是學(xué)術(shù)性的專業(yè)，可以說自己細(xì)心(carefully， detail-oriented)、條理分明(logical)、踏實(steady)等;如果是研究性、應(yīng)用性更強一點的專業(yè)，可以說自己負(fù)責(zé) (responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。

　　其他的一些表示性格、能力的形容詞有：active, aggressive(有進取心的)， adaptable, amicable(友好的)， analytical(善于分析的)， cooperative, creative, disciplined, dutiful, energetic, faithful, gentle, independent(有主見的)， innovative, motivated, modest, objective, precise, punctual, precise(一絲不茍的)， temperate等等。

　　在職考生或有過工作經(jīng)驗的考生還可以強調(diào)一下你的工作成績，如：As the assistant to the General Manger of XXX Company, I have helped to negotiate a $200,000 deal for the corporation。

　　⑤愛好。All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.除了強調(diào)你的學(xué)習(xí)的重視，同時也要避免給考官一種“書呆子”的感覺。一般可以從體育、音樂、電影等方面來說，同時要簡單說明這些愛好對你的積極意義(build my body, relax myself, open my mind…);注意避免提到那些可能引起考官反感的愛好，如：playing computer games，watching TV等。

　　⑥你對報考的專業(yè)有興趣(be interested in/be fascinated with/be obsessed with…)，可適當(dāng)舉出一些例子，如經(jīng)常看相關(guān)的書籍、論文、文章、新聞等。在職考生可以強調(diào)知識教育對工作的影響： In my work, I find it necessary to broaden my horizons in communication. That’s why I long for entering your prestigious university。

　　3)結(jié)束時可以用說：That’s all about me. / Well, that’s who I am. Thanks for your attention。

　　3、關(guān)于自己家庭、家鄉(xiāng)、原來的學(xué)校的一些情況，尤其要注意原來學(xué)校的英文名稱。

　　1)家庭。需要注意的是，考官并不是為了做人口調(diào)查而提出這個問題的，所以應(yīng)該避免流水賬似地介紹家庭成員;要盡量說明家人(尤其是父母)對你造成哪些方面(性格、職業(yè)規(guī)劃、做事風(fēng)格等)良好的影響�？梢詤⒖家韵戮涫浇Y(jié)構(gòu)：Just like my father, I am especially interested in history. / Though my father is an ordinary worker, his responsible attitude towards work has a great influence on me。

　　2)家鄉(xiāng)�？脊賹嶋H上是想從你對家鄉(xiāng)的介紹中找出有關(guān)你性格、志向的線索�？梢詮臍v史、歷史人物、著名景點、獨特風(fēng)俗或特產(chǎn)等方面來簡單介紹，注意要表達(dá)熱愛家鄉(xiāng)的情感。

　　3)學(xué)校。如果是本�？忌�的話，在自我介紹中就可以點到(拉近跟考官的關(guān)系)。如果是外校，考官通常會問：Why did you choose our university?那么我們就可以說說它與報考院校之間的異同，然后說明為什么你選擇這個學(xué)校(I do love the atmosphere in your university. It is full of youthful spirits。);要注意的是：一定要說明你對在原來的院校接受教育心存感激之情appreciation(從好的方面說一說)，著重強調(diào)希望能被錄取，表達(dá)自己堅定的決心、展望一下未來。
