職場(chǎng)英語(yǔ):你是“裝忙族”嗎?
“不說(shuō)了，我忒忙”，這是電影《夜店》里高警官的口頭禪，身邊，更多的.白領(lǐng)們也將這句話掛在嘴邊，不管是真忙還是假忙，彼此一見(jiàn)面，開(kāi)口就嘆“最近特別忙”。由此便催生了這樣一個(gè)新的群族“裝忙族”。
They are invariably white-collarworkers. Instead of "hello", they greet each other with "are you busy lately?" Their answers always indicate they are too busy. Their desksare forever stacked with piles of documents. And they can hardly turn away from the computer screen any time of the day。
他們都是白領(lǐng)。他們見(jiàn)面的問(wèn)候語(yǔ)不是“你好”而是“最近忙嗎？”而得到的回答往往都顯示他們實(shí)在太忙了。他們的辦公桌永遠(yuǎn)都堆滿了文件，他們的眼睛整天都盯著電腦屏幕，一刻都不離開(kāi)。
It looks as if they are work aholics.Only that they are not. They just pretend to be. They are called the pretend-to-be-busy tribe。
看上去他們好像都是工作狂。實(shí)際上卻不是，他們只是假裝而已。他們被稱為“裝忙族”。
Often times, their pile-up documentsare just papers which should have been thrown into the waste basket along time ago. The computer screen? The most common trick is to paste anovel into a work-related word document. In fact, there are many moretricks that you did not know。
通常情況下，他們桌上成堆的文件只是一些早該被扔進(jìn)廢紙簍的東西。一刻不離電腦屏幕？最常見(jiàn)的把戲就是把正在看的小說(shuō)粘貼到一個(gè)工作文檔里。事實(shí)上，還有很多你還不知道的類似招數(shù)呢。
Why do they do this? The monotony ofnine-to-five, the fear of losing face if the other colleagues appearbusy, and the experience that hard work has not beenrecognized...Forget all these far-fetched excuses. They just want togoof off。
他們?yōu)槭裁匆@樣裝忙呢？朝九晚五的生活太枯燥，害怕在其他同事面前丟臉，或者之前的辛苦未得到肯定，等等。這些理由都太過(guò)牽強(qiáng)了，其實(shí)，他們只是不想那么賣力工作罷了。
